Metacognition

A 21st-century reflective strategy → teachers think about their own thinking.

Moulding

Focus is not on "managing behaviour," but on moulding behaviour through teaching that develops socio-emotional skills.

Three components in sync:

  1. Teaching & Learning Activities → Hook engagement, encourage group work, problem-solving, creativity.

  2. Socio-Emotional Skills → Chosen focus (e.g., teamwork, resilience, empathy) that gets integrated into lessons.

  3. Observation & Reflection → Teacher scaffolds behaviour + monitors knowledge understanding in small groups.
