Origin of the Word Pedagogy

The word pedagogy comes from ancient Greek

Paidagōgos (παιδαγωγός)

Paida = child

Agōgos = leader or guide​​

A servant who accompanied children to school.

Evolved to mean a guide in a child’s intellectual

and moral development.
